You have reached Idyllienhoppet.org, a charity project funded by the profits from our charity company Idyllien. Both Idyllien and Idyllienhoppet.org is founded by us – Catrin&Richard Kylberg with daughters. Our youngest daughter Leia passed away in cancer after several years of fighting the disease and through our experiences we have learned that it is a whole family affected, not just the member turning ill. We also know what it is like to live in a hospital environment for extended periods of time while life continues as usual on the outside and what kind of stress this means for an entire family.
We started our store concept Idyllien on the island Gotland in the Baltic Sea, as a family project during a time when we were still living in the shadow of our daughter’s illness. It was so important to keep doing exciting new things together with our children and Idyllien made a big difference to our family as a creative platform we could gather around.
After Leias passing we decided to continue to use Idyllien for the same purpose, but focus on the families still fighting for their young ones in the hospitals. Idyllien became a fund raising tool for projects with the aim of making the hospital stay a little better for families with seriously ill children.
It also means that we, the founders of the company, never take any profit from the company. The main goal of Idyllien’s business is to create profits that we transfer to Idyllienhoppet’s projects in the hospitals.
Idyllien is not only a charity brand, it is also a platform for collaborations with other companies and private initiatives to create even greater values for the projects. Examples of cooperations are:
- Co-branded products with other brands (a part of the product is used for the projects).
- Donations of materials or discounts from our producers and supporting partners.
- Selected retail partners selling our products for lower profits, but to help with the fund raising.
- Fund raising events together with our supporting partners…
…We believe in the thought that ”Together we can do more”!

OUR PROJECTS…
In our projects we cooperate with the Play Therapists in each hospital, focusing on the environment and creative moments that make the day a little better for the children and their families.
Some examples of our projects are the donations of creative trays used by the Play Therapists to carry in creative materials and games in the rooms, or our Wallies – The cheeky rabbits that play and do mischievous things on the walls of the hospital rooms.
At the moment, we run projects in 39 hospitals in Sweden.
Our aim is to reach outside our borders and create cooperations with other companies in other countries on our beautiful planet. Let us know if you want to start similar projects in your local hospital. We would love to cooperate!
